Building Community, One Brick at a Time

LEGO bricks are nearly universal–anyone of any age can pick up a brick and build.  We turn LEGO into meaningful moments to build community connections. Let us help you plan your own community build!

What is a Community Build?

Engage Your Community with a Collaborative Community Event

All you need to do is tell us about your event, cause, or project and we’ll work with you to design a collaborative building activity that will engage your community and create a large-scale group LEGO project. Your audience will be taught how they can help build the project on-site by our instructors, and eventually hundreds and even thousands of your community members will own a part of the model! Build keeping the model into your budget and we’ll glue it together for long-term display!

Engage Your Community

Businesses, organizations, and governments have partnered with Bonanza Educational to connect with their community. Now it’s your turn!

Types of Projects

10ft Tall Rocket, Mesa Festival of Creativity

Mega  Brick Build

A maquette mini-model is designed by Bonanza Educational artists. Community members recreate the mini-model by building “mega-bricks”, which are sixteen times larger than the standard LEGO bricks.  As each “mega-brick” is created, it will be built with designs and colors unique to the builder; allowing them to leave their fingerprint on the project.  A “Mega-Brick” build is ideal for multi-day events inviting lots of participation.

Mystery Mosaic

Bonanza Educational artists develop a mosaic from an image of your choice and then break it into many 4×4 sections. Community members are given a 4×4 plate and specific instructions for creating their square. Once the square is  complete, it is placed on the grid.  Slowly, the mystery image is revealed. Mystery Mosaic builds are ideal for large events and multi-stage events for an ongoing presence.

ASU Football Helmet, Devils on Mill

Live Sculpture

A Bonanza Educational artist is hired to build a sculpture live during an event.  Participants can follow the artist as the model is constructed and the artist will encourage participation from interested attendees while providing them specific instructions and guidance. Live Sculpture builds are ideal for smaller events or when planning considerations are too great for the other options.  They are also excellent advertising events.
